The great Mayor of Athens, Monte Montgomery, gave a community update on the Cain Center.
"This week, several members of the Cain Center Steering Committee joined me in a meeting with the design team," Mayor Montgomery said"The design team is working to integrate plans previously developed for the Cain Center and the recommendations from the Steering Committee," he added.
In addition, Mayor Montgomery said: "Remember, the Steering Committee was formed by the City Council in November 2018 to analyze the sustainability, financial responsibility, and best utilization practices of the Cain Center."
"The good news is that we are headed in the right direction, but there is still work to be done to bring all the ideas together into one vision," he added. "Once this phase is complete, the City can establish the final plan for the Cain Center and move forward with putting the project out to bid."
