The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office investigated an alleged road rage shooting on Sunday, and it ended in the arrest of a Frierson man.
Caddo deputies investigated a road rage shooting incident that occurred in south Caddo Parish on LA Highway 3132, said Sheriff Steve Prator.Late Sunday afternoon, just before 4 p.m., two vehicles traveling westbound on LA Highway 3132 near the West 70th exit were involved in a road rage dispute. The driver of a black Lexus ES-350 brake checked the motorist driving a black Chrysler 300 for following too closely.
As the road rage dispute continued, a passenger from the Lexus 350 fired a shot from the vehicle and struck the roof of the motorist’s Chrysler 300 vehicle. Both parties involved placed a 911 call to report the incident. Shreveport Police assisted by conducting a traffic stop on both vehicles involved near I-20 and Exit 5 in Greenwood.
After further investigation, Caddo patrol deputy Dirk Chapman was contacted and interviewed both parties at the TA Truck stop in Greenwood.
It was later determined the passenger in the Lexus, 41-year-old, James Donald Starr, II, of Frierson, was the alleged shooter, and his wife was allegedly driving the car.
Starr was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Deputy Chapman for one count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
No parties involved were injured during the incident.
The case is still under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
