The cool and colorful, commemorative tees with a background color of "Lagoon Blue" will add to the excitement leading up to the event. And we all know it's a very big deal that they can be worn on the last Tuesday of classes. The T-shirts are available now from the Dugdemona Summer Fest on Facebook, and the 4th Annual Dugdemona Summer Fest will be held on June 1 in Winnfield, Louisiana.
The festival, which in its fourth year, has achieved non-profit status. It provides fun, warm weather activities for the Winnfield community and the surrounding areas.
Events currently scheduled are a 5K run, BBQ cook-off, lemonade stand contest, Dug's Soapbox Derby and a sand castle building competition.
Live entertainment, an assortment of local vendors, watermelon eating contest and fireworks are also planned. Other activities will be offered, and there has even been a mention of a possible car show. A variety of tasty food and drinks will be available for purchase.
American Idol finalist Tyler Mitchell (2019) will be headlining the festival this year. Mitchell performed a touching rendition of Steve Moakler's "Suitcase" during a nationally broadcast idol elimination segment, which was dedicated to his wife. Tyler Mitchell is scheduled to perform an intimate live set for the Dugdemona Fest.
The event is scheduled to take place at 2000 S. Jones Street, Winnfield, Louisiana and is open to the public.
